special deliveries

After a UPS fiasco (they claim that they left notices for the package, but they didn't; the package spent 3 months in a UPS store because they never contacted Mike's stepmom), we finally got the rest of the Christmas presents from Florida. These were the items we couldn't pack with us, like the slicer and shredder attachment for the sculpture, er, mixer. Also in the box were my Philosophy bath products: Cinnamon Buns shower gel/shampoo/bubble bath and body souffle and Gingerbread Man scrub. Now I'm a big fan of the Origins Ginger Salt Scrub, but the little man kicks its ass. My legs and arms are smooth, and my feet are beginning to become appropriate to be seen in peep toes. I also smell like I work at Cinnabon because I had to use all the "new" products. This would be great in winter, but it's a little heavy for summer. I may have to buy the Senorita Margarita instead.

Meanwhile, I got some cute shoes from Zappo's. I figured I wouldn't be home when the delivery arrived, so I was proactive and reserved a Car Share car so that I could go to FedEx and pick them up. I get home, and there's no notice on the door (sound familiar)? I track the package online, and it says "Delivered. Left at doorstep." I wig out. I then notice that there's a notice slipped under my door. It says "IN TRASH CAN." Um, the FedEx guy LEFT MY NEW SHOES IN MY TRASH CAN. You know, the one that has trash in it. I think I need to write a strongly-worded letter.
