[If Chidori had figured out there was a voice-only option, yet, you can bet she'd be using that instead right now; still, the situation being what it is, she's wearing a sharp expression just shy of a glare, pointed straight at the comm. Making a faint 'tch' under her breath, she pulls a leaf out of her hair, before her hands move to smooth down ( Read more... )

[ Another day, another panicked arrival.. Perhaps she should tell the girl something comforting - especially after her words, 'this isn't death', but Ange isn't one to make the truth seem better than it actually is. So when she speaks up, her voice is fairly deadpan as usual. ]

Sorry, but they're not going to give it back. [ Whatever 'it' may be. ]

[It's a little funny, how easily the distaste slips in her voice, considering her old comrades back home might fit that description. 'Amused at our suffering...']

Is that all they're after? Playthings?

They never bothered to tell us their reasons. [ There might be a very slight huff at that. ]

But from the situation, it's the most likely option. Otherwise they wouldn't randomly pull people in here and let some go again eventually.
