Am I a sexist piggggg???
I just got er, e-dumped, by a guy I hadn't even met yet on OK Cupid for, I think, using the phrase "stick it to The Man".
I am constantly trying to redefine and check my own priviledge, even as a white cisgendered woman feminist. I told him that I defined "The Man" as any agent that squelches freedom, but he said that he "surveyed a diverse group of people" and they found my remarks "disturbing" especially since I said that women could be part of "The Man" and I gave the example of Michelle Bachmann.
I told him, hey, if you and I can't agree on sexism or whatever, we don't have to talk to each other. But he said he found sexist remarks "grossly offensive" WITH UNDERLINES at me. So apparently I'M the asshole in this situation.
*sigh* Great. Not only can't I get a man, I can't get a man because I'm offensive to this surveyed group of people. What else is new?
