The great lightgathererasked me the following questions.

1) If you could hop in a time machine and go back to when you had just finished high school, would you still study English in college or go straight to nursing?

I don't really know. I mean, it would have meant I'd have gotten a Bachelor's in Nursing rather than a 2 year degree, and it means I probably would have made a good deal more money right out of school than I did. I liked certain aspects of my English education, but I didn't take enough responsibility in planning my post-college career, I kinda just let things happen to me and ended up being miserable.

2) Assuming that you could pack up everyone you wanted to and take them with you, where would you want to live?

I like Boston right now :) I wish I weren't far away from some of the people I love, but most of the people I love are happy where they are geographically, so I wouldn't feel right just whisking them away.

3) What was your motivation behind getting your kitties?

I was lonely living by myself, and I'd been curious about having a cat for a companion. I only intended to adopt one, a black cat if possible because I know that they're harder to adopt (due to the superstition) but I saw that Sherbert was on "death row" (his time at the shelter was almost up) and my marshmellowy Cancer heart said Oh I can't let him go just let me take him too.

Frankly, there was another cat there that was a lovely brown tabby that was very affectionate with me, and I really liked, and some days I wish I chose him. But these are the two I have.

4) What do you enjoy doing most in your free time?

Nowadays, Internet stuff, reading, wandering through bookstores, daydreaming :)

5) How did you start down your current spiritual path?

Yeesh, how much time have you got? ;)
I'm not on a path so much as a field, I'm just wandering all over it. In the last year I've studied Haitian Voodou, tarot, runes, Celtic shamanism, Buddhism, and Southern hoodoo rootwork. Right now, the strongest forces in my work are Thelema, hoodoo and folk magick, dreams and dreamwork.
I've always had a mystical/woo woo bent, but I was raised Catholic so wasn't encouraged to explore it. Not till I got to college did I get exposed to people who actually practiced magick and lived it in their daily lives, and I got to read books and see ritual.

Now, I'm just trying to listen for the still small voice and figure out where it takes me :)
