Flying by the Beatles is really ahead of its time. I mean back then it was just filler on a filler album, but it sounds like a Midlake or Flotation Toy Warning single.
Ray Davies is so boss that when his female friend was mugged in the streets of Old New Orleans, he chased down the mugger. However he returned with a bullet in his leg rather than the purse.
I'm a huge anglophile and I'm big on thick accents in music, but I just can't bring myself to dig the Small Faces. Eh! Steve!
I just reread the previous sentence and realized that I used the words "huge", "big", "thick", "in" and the suffix "-ophile". Awkward?
Is anybody as into Lost as I am?
I'll admit I jumped on the bandwagon late, as it did whatever bandwagons do, but I've always been really into outdoorsy shows. I mean it doesn't get any better than Survivorman. This guy survives out in the wilderness truly by himself, he films himself and everything. Then there's Mantracker, Man vs. Wild. A lot of cheesy, yet fascinating premises. Anyways. Lost is a wonderfully entertaining show and I need people to talk about it with until October when the new season starts. I'm taking volunteers.
I'd love a sitar and could afford one, but I have issues with 5 strings. I can only imagine how utterly lost I would be with 20+.
