Shori and Kento talked about their ideal cafes. :)
If you were to create an ideal café?
Shori’s Café Talk
A café where you can eat delicious Japanese food and drink alcohol is ideal.
When I was in high school, I would go to cafes after school to kill time before work. I chose cafes that were quiet and not crowded. I end up coming to small Japanese style cafes that were run by grandmas (laughs). I studied for my exams there. I think I usually ordered black tea. Sometimes I put sugar, but sometimes I don’t. I’d like a café that would make me feel calm and at ease.
If I will have my own café, I want it to have an open kitchen. In that café, I would stand behind the counter sometimes (laughs). I want to line up copper pots on the counter as well (laughs). When I read the kitchen feature on a magazine, there was a kitchen enclosed in a long stretch of glass walls surrounded by a forest. I thought that it was good, so it would be nice if you would be able to see and feel greens in my café.
For the menu, I want to put in dishes that I like! I’ll make the place into a café with delicious Japanese food and use additive-free ingredients. I’ll serve takikomi gohan, nikujaga, ohitashi, and curry! (laughs) As a café that can also be enjoyed at night, I’ll serve alcohol. But I’ll only put alcohol that I can drink (laughs). I’ve just been saying things that I like. It’ll end up being my house that is named as a café (laughs). It would be called, “Café Orenchi.” Of course, my café would allow pets inside. Rather, it’s fine if it’ll be a café where only dogs would come (laughs).

An American cafe that shows different movies
In my situation, Soshina-san of Shimofuri Myojo (comedy duo) is a café friend (laughs).
At night, it’ll be a bonding time for men in the café. We will have carpaccio with cream pasta and alcohol while talking. We’ll have deep conversations. I’ll be spoiled by Kei-nii (Tanaka Kei), Takeru-san (Sato Takeru), Tomoya-san (Nakamura Tomoya) and we’ll talk together. Oh and also Baachi (Chiba Yudai). My friends are all good men! Maybe I’ll make it into a café where only great men can enter. No women allowed (laughs).
My ideal café would have a projector to constantly show different movies. If I’m asked to play the record (music), I’ll lower down the volume of the movie and enjoy the music. Yamapi told me that record shops in LA would let you listen to the records if you ask them. I admire that. I just went to Hollywood, so I still got American taste (laughs).
Maybe I’ll put macaroni cheese on the menu for my café~. I’ll also include hamburger with so much fries that you can’t finish them all. Also, crispy fried chicken! Then I’ll use good cheese for the toppings on the meat. I’ll make it smell like truffles. Then, ikemen people will gather in my café. Wouldn’t that be the best? (laughs) For women~ you can also come~ You can enjoy seeing a lot of ikemen (laughs).
The photoshoot was created as if it was like a real situation wherein the two of them are in an actual cafe. The two of them took photos of each other, used their smartphones without talking, and such.

- Takikomi gohan is a rice dish seasoned with Japanese stock and soy sauce along with vegetables, mushrooms, meat, or fish.
- Nikujaga is a dish where meat, potatoes, and onion are stewed in sweetened soy sauce.
- Ohitashi is a side dish composed of green vegetables in a soy-based marinade.
