He's good in Gothic tales. The first is about a surgeon torn between saving his patient's life or letting her die with her secrets and the latter about a mountain seductress who tempts a monk to forsake his vows and, possibly, his humanity.

Actually, the name rings a bell. I think I wrote a book report on the second one at some point. But I'll give him a try, it couldn't hurt me to become more cultured.
