lent
i've been feeling weirdly catholic lately. missed church today though, i was planning on going. i'm doing lent this year for the first time in a few. sucked today, what with the no church and the fact that i went to white hut and ate 2 delicious hot dogs and then ate a turkey and swiss sammich for dinner. i'm trying to quit smoking, bought a pack today but im savoring that shit. only drinking on the weekends, just trying to buckle down and get some work done. for me, lent has never been about giving up things necessarily, it's more of a fresh page kind of thing. like a new year's resolution. when i was a kid my mum never let me give up bubblegum or soda, i had to forsake intangible things like talking back to my parents or fighting with my brother. i just emerged from a 2 week bender, i need to recharge.
