Today is Black Friday. The worst day to go gift shopping/leave your home all year. I'll be working at Old Navy in less than three hours. Yeah, it's madness, but it's my third Black Friday in retail, and it's not as bad on store employees as it is on the shoppers who can't resist doing this to themselves every year. If they waited a week, they could shop almost peacefully.
I kind of want to get back to sleep, so I'll be brief. Thanksgiving was great. Smaller than last year, but very nice. Good food, good people, good times.
Work on Wednesday was terrible, but still good because I got to see friends, and make new friends. I got to do signage with Shannon who I hadn't seen in months, I finally got to meet Jess, and then Shannon and I hung out for a little while after. While hanging out, she showed me Beirut. I'm not going to go crazy with details, because that would be a waste of time, but Beirut is a band led by musical mastermind and current Long Island resident Zach Condon. I don't want to explain them past that, so check it out on their myspace. All I'll say is that this band has more talent than most, and listening to them could potentially change your life. Think Neutral Milk Hotel with more restraint and class and from Europe.
I might update this at some point later. Probably not. Happy Black Friday.
