Boss lady at the store has started doing this cool thing where she'll schedule herself to work after me and then not show up. So not only am I solitary and bored stiff and sick half to death of dealing with old ladies -- I don't even know when it will end.

I could call her and ask -- but I haven't yet figured out how to say to my boss "You didn't show up."

Actually the suspense is nice. Gives me something to think about?
