Addendum to previous statement

Add this to my last entry.
Its disgusting that we spend as much as do on specialized things like Physics, science in general, compared to things like Social Studies. My school, and I think most schools, don't offer Civics classes all four years, at least it isn't maditory. This too harkens back to my class about our everyday world, it could be integrated in. What you legally can and can't do on your way to work. Legal:Burn a flag...Illegal: write a patriotic slogan on a wall without permission. Ironic, isn't it? And some say well if we offered classes in civics that would be specializing for people who are going to go into politics, and more people will do something like engineering than politics. WRONG. so wrong. It's much more important to know what your state rep. is supposed to do than to know what the rotational innertia is of a merry-go-round when a child jumps on it. Also, more people will be involved in politics, we are the people governing for the people.
