"You rock, rock."

First off, the NHL returns in 6 days.

Second off, I should talk about my past 2 weekends.

2 weekends ago, headed up to CMU with Adam P. Kopp to visit friends. The car ride up made for some good jokes, including Adam's flawless Dubya impersonation. Got up to school pretty late that night, and dropped Adam off at Josh's and saw his and Sara's new house on Fancher, then headed to Todd's with Canadian Mike and Jeff. Watched a bit of Last Castle, then I went across the street to visit Lindz and Alissa. Made a late night Meijer run, got some T-bell, and turned in.

Saturday, got some grub, stopped at Megan McCarthy's to say hi, and then ran some errands with T-giggs, and then headed to Island Park with Jeff, Sierra, Alissa, and Maury. Played a little Ultimate, read books (even though books are for total squares and lame-o's), and went and distracted Megan while she was working on homework. After that, went and visited Ben, Patrick, Danny, and Herbie the Love Pug. Then came back to the apt. and threw the frisbee around and hit many cars, and then picked Megan up to go to hot dogs. Stopped in Kaya to visit Cat, and she hooked us up with some free coffee b/c she rules at life. Then walked over to the Men's House, and got to catch up with a bunch of people like Dave, Tony, Jen Hinz, Natalie, and Angie...even got to see my favorite black man LMFJ. Didn't get to see Jeremy Gonsior, Joni, or Raeanne though which was bush league. Played a lot of Lightning and just talked with Megan for the rest of the night. Sunday was coffee at Lindz's place, then church, followed by lunch at Big Boy where Mike, Jeff, and Todd had the waitress bring me a small cup of fruit and call me princess, just because they were jealous that I got to sit with all the girls cuz I'm frakin' sweet and stuff. After lunch came back to Lindz's apt. and watched the Bears/Lions game in which Chicago gave Detroit a shellackin'. Then picked up Adam and headed back to Chicago.

This past weekend was also fun, and for once I didn't leave the state. I caught a 12:30 train into Chicago on Friday afternoon, and met up with Josh Walker at Union Station. Then we took the L to Water Tower Place and picked up his bro, and then headed back to the apt. Hung out there for a bit, and then Josh had to go to work. So me, Kate, and Dar got on the L again and headed back south to Ontario and Wabash for some amazing pizza with Megan Wheeler and her family and friends. Got to meet her sister Amanda, and a couple of her friends from Chicago. We ate at Pizzeria Due which was some amazing pizza, let me tell you. Had a lot of fun talking with everybody. Then we parted ways, and Kate, Dar, and myself headed back to the north side. Stopped to visit Josh at Starbucks and hung out there for a while chattin' and whatnot. Then hit up a burrito place after Josh got off work. Love hanging out with the Walkers, they're so much fun. And they got the coolest apartment about a 5 minute L-ride from Wrigley Field. Which brings me to the next day. Cubs and Astros game. Cubs games are always a treat because Wrigley is just an amazing field. Probably the best in baseball, right above Yankee Stadium and Fenway. Anyways, we had awesome seats too right up in the foul zone behind home plate. There was a 1 1/2 hour rain delay and the Cubbies lost bad, but Nomar hit a homer, and we're the lovable losers again, so it's all good. Wish they'd fire Dusty Baker, trade Corey Patterson and Kerry Wood, and pick up Johnny Damon. Which is actually a strong rumor going round the Windy City. We'll see.

Anyways, after the game, headed back to chill for a bit at the apt. Then they dropped me off at the station in which I caught my train home by about 10 seconds to spare.

A very fun weekend in the city.

And my highlight today: I got an interview with the Michigan Dept. of Environmental Quality (DEQ) this Tuesday in Warren, MI. If you're the praying type, please pray for me about this, I'm really excited and nervous at the same time, and would love to score this job. Pays well, location is great, and it's exactly up my alley. (Crossing my fingers)

Anyways, that's all. I want to thank my livejournal fans for getting through these updates.
