Anniversary and Pub Crawl
In just a few days time MDRF Friends of Faire group will be celebrating it's one year anniversary. No new math or strange ways of explaining it, this site was launched on the eve of the opening day of the 2005 season.
I hope we have provided everyone a place to get information and make new friends as well as keep in touch with old ones.
Over the year we have grown in so many ways. The Message Boards and Website have been expanded to include a Chat Room, Photo Gallery and a Library of information. The Ren Faire Wiki has been an incredible success with rennies not only in this country but in Europe as well.
I would love to get a group photo to celebrate our first anniversary, it is open to everyone who considers themselves a friend of faire. So if we could get a mob of foks gathered on opening day at 11am in the shade at the Dragon Inn that would be fantastic. This could also be our first Meet-N-Greet of the year.
We have received so many emails from people who won't be able to make it on Saturday, that we have decided to also have a picture on Sunday at noon. It will also be at the Dragon Inn. So if you can't make it to one of the photos, you now have a second oppertunity to get in on it. Hope to see you there.
Next is the Pub Crawl
As some of you already know my birthday falls during faire and I decided to celebrate it a little differently this season. I have sent the call out to the Drunken Gnomes, Guild of Nik-Thil and of course the Free Beer O'Clock club. It was decided that a Pub Crawl would be in order, with stops at the beer tastings and for Shrimp & Oyster Shooters. EVERYONE IS INVITED TO JOIN THE CRAWL!!!
