And the saga continues...

So I was born. I don't remember that day very well I do have several memories of my younger years. Here they are in no particular order. I remember being in my crib (located in the front room) saying my prayers over and over.

"Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the lord my soul to take. Bless, Mommy, Daddy, Neal, Hildreth, And Bobby. Amen."

I would say that over and over and every time I got to Mommy, my mother would yell from the kitchen "WHAT?" and I would say "nothing."

I remember waking from a nap in my parents bed with my mom looking at me. In 1972 or 73 there was a flood in western NY which became the last time Hornell was flooded. I recall that we had family friends who just built their house near the Canisteo river and they wouldn't leave. We took groceries to them. I rode in my brother Bob's shoulders holding a bag on his head. My dad who was shorter than Bob was holding a bag over his head tipping his face up so that he did not drown and kept saying "Don't you drop him"

This was a time in my life where a series of funny and painful things happened to me or my family.

Next... The Family is talked about!
