My paper on spanners with slack with Anupam and Hubert just officially got into ESA (the European Symposium on Algorithms). According to the email there were 215 submissions to ESA this year, and 52 were accepted. I was pretty sure our paper would get in, since ESA isn't a great conference and our paper was (I thought) pretty good. It would have

That's really awesome! Do you have an Erdos number yet? (did you already?)

I already had an Erdos number of 3, so since my advisor never worked with Erdox this doesn't help. I'm sure it's another chain of 3, though, since Anupam has worked with lots of famous people that must have worked with Erdos.
