I spent pretty much all of yesterday and today downtown watching fencing -- a USFA North American Cup event was in Pittsburgh. It was a lot of fun. Ben, Tommi, and two freshmen who I didn't know (Max and Noah) fenced in the Division 1 men's epee, and Kira and another freshman (Jasjit) fenced in the div 1 women's epee. Wow, it wasn't just someone else in a Bob Harper disguise?

I was sad to miss the party, esp. since it'd been so long since we had one. By the time I got back it was about 10 and I was way too exhausted to scrape snow and ice off my car and venture back out. (I know, I'm a wimpy southerner.) But I hadn't RSVP'd in the first place.

No, it was actually Bob. Jake invited the professors that he works with (Bob, Karl, and Frank), but only Bob showed up. It was awesome. There were definitely a few people who wimped out because of the cold. Oh well. We might have another party next weekend at Dan's, so if you're still around you can make up for your wimpiness by coming to that :-).
