Who:  "Harriet J. Andrews" a.k.a. Harley Quinn
What: Going to Work
When: Morning
Where: A Local Costume Shop in New York
Interactions: Open
Warnings: None

Ever since the carnival Harley had been laying low.  She had had more than enough of Creepers antics so she disguised herself when going out.  She had taken to exploring some of the smaller less well known shops around the city to see if any of them would be more willing to hire someone with her previous record.... or someone who technically didn't exist, such as "Harriet J. Andrews".  Either way would work for her, she just needed to start making some more money.

It was during one of these walks that she stumbled into the little shop "1412: Magical Costumers".  She hadn't even noticed it until the a woman hurrying by nearly ran her over and she ended up in it's entryway.  The shop was fairly small, but the products it carried were theatrical grade costuming supplies as well as some Magic Tricks thrown in here and there.

Before she knew it the Young Man, Mister Kuroba,  running the shop has not only calmly pointed out that he recognized her appearance as a well made costume, he had also offered her a job without asking any questions as to why she was wearing said costume.  He said something about not caring who someone was if they had the talent.  Harley was more inclined to believe that he knew who she was, or at least what she had been, and was willing to give her a chance because he had some criminal activity in his past as well.  Not that either of them would likely break that pretension of a completely noncriminal life.

And that was how Harley, er, Harriet, found herself up at nine in the morning walking to work.  So far the other people who came in seemed to take little notice of her.  And in exchange she pretended to not notice their own peculiarities.  It was good work, and she was good at it.  And while she might not have exactly liked working from 9:30 in the morning until 6 in the evening, the pay ($10 an hour) was better than anything else she had been offered.

Her recollections were broken off by her arrival at the store. Mister Kuroba waved to her from where he was demonstrating one of the magic tricks on sale to a potential customer and Harley took her expected place at the register. Someone had to watch the cash while he was distracted making his sales pitch or amusing the customers. Although she couldn't fathom how she had ended up as that someone...
