The wedding

After a super lengthy trip we arrived well to Mendoza, Argentina. My sister was waiting for me at the baggage claim area in the airport in Santiago, Chile, and we headed out to find a van that would take us through the Andes. At first we were gonna go in a nice and modern van, but since there were not enough passengers they stuck us in an old model full of people, the trip was a pain, there were a couple of fat ladies at my side, and one of them was talking all the way on her phone.. jeez!!!  the stupid van was sooooo slow that it took us like 8 hours to get to mendoza.

But when we finally got there things were great, I took a shower and went out with my cousin to a bbq party at a house of one of his friends, we had great beef, and good wine, especially one called "valencia", which you could feel hints of vanilla and chocolate in... totally delicious.

The next day I woke up not too early (10 am) and everything was way too quiet, usually right before a wedding things are crazy, especially since the wedding was at noon.  So I had some breakfast and then people started to arrive, and THEN the craziness started, people running around everywhere, and getting everything set up, I just watched amusedly at everything and went with my older cousin to the church.

The wedding at the church was simple and short, not like others I had seen that were all pompous and over-long, so it was just the way I like it :-), and then we went to the party, at a winery club, which was great, we had great argentinian style bbq, and lots of wine, champagne and fernet, and we partied until midnight... at that moment I don't recall much, I had drunk too much wine and after i got back to my uncle's place, I felt like a woodpecker was hammering my brain... felt totally trashed next morning, but I had a great time, and my cousin was the happiest girl in the world, which is, in my view, the whole point of getting married to somebody... anyways that was the wedding, and now to tour the vineyards!! :-)
