Adventures with Alli

Apr 07, 2009 00:48

My first week on Alli went pretty well. No horrible "treatment affects" thank goodness, mostly because I've been too scared to even think about eating something that might trigger them. So, this is definitely doing what I'd hoped! The only thing is, I don't eat the maximum amount of fat allowed per meal, and since Alli blocks some fat from being absorbed by the body I end up hungry just a couple hours after eating. So, I need to figure out ways to keep myself feeling full, maybe up my fiber intake or something like that.

During my first week I have dropped about 2 pounds, and a total of 4.75" from my body. I'm kind of shocked by the number of inches, and think there may be some human error involved in my measurements, but who knows. I guess my gym routine has really helped there. I wont be devestated if my weight fluctuates just a bit as long as the inches continue to drop, as I'm well aware that muscle weighs more than body fat and I have been doing strength training.

This post is more for my benefit than anything else and I'll be posting again next Monday with another update!
