...I'm still alive. Busy as hell, but still alive nonetheless.
Work has been insane. I'm convinced that the people I work with are totally incompetent. It's amazing how some of these people are pulling down six figures and they are clueless to the nth degree. Ugh.
Had jury duty last week. Only a two day trial, thankfully. It was actually pretty fun. I'd always been interested in doing it, and it was certainly worth it. Made about $100 on top of my normal salary, got two free lunches at a nice buffet, and enjoyed the experience quite a bit. The horror stories aren't all true, I'll say.
The Ice Eagles' manager resigned a few weeks ago, leaving me to pick up a lot of slack when I was already spending too much time on the team. As if it wasn't bad enough already, getting jury duty during the busiest time of the year at work.
Sleep...what is that?
In happier news...spring is just around the corner. Saw "Phantom of the Opera" (the film version) with Amanda and it was awesome. Also saw "The Incredibles," which was pretty damn good too. And in a span of 7 days in February, Amanda and I are going to see 3 different stage shows. First is Gallagher, then "Fiddler on the Roof," and then a comedy group show featuring four friends of the Bob & Tom Show. That should be fun. :)
Rest in peace, Johnny Carson. Although I was only alive for the tail end of your run, I saw enough to know that there will never be another like you. Thanks for the laughs.
