I do enjoy McShep sports AUs. I really liked the addition of John's deliberate outing after proving himself, especially since he'd already revealed how he felt before the game. :-D

I really like the thought of John all dripping with sweat after running around a soccer field! WhooHoo!

Like the buildup here and how Rodney really doesn't know what they are all about until that kiss - oooh what a kiss!

Love that John was brave enough and loved Rodney enough to out himself to the world!

Fun story!

John as a soccer player and Rodney as a coach works really well for me, to my surprise! I liked the parallels between John's under-achievements pre-Atlantis and coach!Rodney giving him a chance to prove himself on the field.

John's televised revelation about his relationship with Rodney makes me want to cheer! :-)

Well, that was different! I like the craziness of the USA winning the world cup and the relationship between John and Rodney. John's gesture at the end was brilliant!

I don't like sport at all and seldom enjoy sport AU:s. But I liked this! And YAY for superstar soccer players outing themselves after winning the world cup, that would turn even me into a sports fan.
