Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it, and happy to hear that the pacing worked for you. This is the longest story I've written so far, so I'm relieved to hear that the build-up worked.

That was great, the interviews and the battles of paperwork and Rodney 'fixing' John one way or another. :-D

"Please, Dr. McKay," Woolsey said, reaching up to adjust his glasses. "I wrote this game."

Best line ever.

Great job.

The thing is, that whole personnel review thingy? I went through that right before I lost my job, so hey, a little anxiety on my part, but yay for Woolsey steering them through that nightmare! And I love Rodney having to play the part of supportive boss when he has no desire to.

Aw, I'm sorry to bring back bad memories for you! If only we could all have puppetmaster Woolsey working things behind the scenes.

hee, I liked this. LOVED Rodney's personnel interviews (one-to-one berating) and the way he was always trying to take care of everyone, but especially John. Various bits made me laugh out loud but I'm picking the biting funghi as my high point.

I'm so glad to hear that I made you laugh -- it's nice to know the stuff I think is funny works for other people, too. :-)
