Ok, so Brokeback didn't win for best picture, but it still got more awards than Herbie: Fully Loaded

This weekend was a relaxing and enjoyable one. I had the room all to myself since Thursday because poor Heather had to go home due to about 15 different medical afflictions. Although it did get a little lonely at times, it was actually probably for the best that we were apart, so that we could both get better on our own. My parents came up for lunch on Saturday, so that was quite a treat, and then Chris, Casey, and I went and saw "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on campus. It's funny, because every time that I hear there's a play here, I'm all about going to see it. Well, that is until the performance actually starts, at which point I'm reminded that I don't really think that I like plays all that much. Well, I suppose I should say Carthage's choice of plays. Me thinks that they should perhaps go McAuley style and do some musicals, because it's hard to do a bad musical. Even "Springtime for Hitler" was pretty entertaining.

At the beginning of every week for pretty much the whole semester, I've said that this is going to be the week that I really get more stuff done and get more out of. After declaring that countless times and repeatedly not following through with it, it kind of made the phrase lose some of its effect, but I really think that this week is the one. What makes this week different you ask? Well, first of all, thank you for the feigned interest. Secondly, I've decided that I need to make some changes, start fresh with some things, and I realized that sometimes, it's just time for things to be different. Now, that doesn't mean that the current status of things was bad, but, as Sheryl Crow told me "A Change Would Do You Good," and I think that she is absolutely right. Now, I'm off to the library to finally start following through with what I say I will. Yay!
