Hines Park Time Trial...

Sunday morning, I did indeed go out to the accursed and dreaded Hines Drive and, for the first time since April 2008, I both started and finished a bike race. Given the conditions yesterday morning, I would have actually had a good excuse to do what I've done in every other race this past year: miss my start, crash, or not bother showing up at all. It seems though, that I had finally grown tired of all that excitement, and the novelty of losing a bike race the boring way (being slower than someone else) was once again appealing enough to overcome the rain, heat, flooded course, and headwind.

So there it is, all is fine again in the world of me racing bicycles.
