Oh, the things I need to talk about! Instead, I would like to share this wonderful day!
The day started as usual: wake up, shower, read, check email/facebook, go to work. But! During the facebook part, a friend noted she was on a 10-hour drive and would welcome a phone call. So, on my way to work, I got to talk to my friend!! How often does that happen? (btw, way to work: roughly 7:15-7:45 am)
I get to work and find an email from a prospect I have been calling on for months. He responded to a handwritten thank-you note I wrote. He gave me the cell phone number of the president of another company I had been calling on! Except, I had been talking to someone lower in the decision making process, so I never got anywhere. Talked to another guy who, hopefully, will have a time for me tomorrow to set up with our sales guy!
I manage a good 20-minute 'nap' during lunch! It was one of those, you almost fall asleep and a body part spazzes out to wake you up, naps. that happened twice in the 20 minutes. I felt much better. Wasn't able to reach my friend during lunch (only half-way through driving), but it's good to be kept in check.
More good stuff happens, and I get a call-back from another great prospect I called in March! I actually had down to call him today, too. That lead? A very solid and fantastic lead. I got updates from two other leads I sent out, and those are looking good, too! And, the few calls I did make? I was able to get good information.
Drive home? Went to the chiropractor first. It was a challenge today as I did a wonderful job knocking bones out of place while trying to unicycle backwards. It's as dangerous and tough as you'd imagine. But! Mostly better now! =D Stopped by wal-mart to help out my dad and get some spinach and bananas so he wouldn't have to go to the store on his way home. If I feel overwhelmed with work, I know he's snowballed under with it. And, Wednesday nights he takes my little sister to church, so he doesn't get home until 8:30 at the earliest.
Didn't do much once I got home, but messaged a few folks, read Naruto and Bleach (Naruto is awesome, Kenpachi is raw as mess - I just hope he doesn't get messed up!). And for the night? Workout, eat, read, sleep! I think tomorrow is going to be a long day, but that's okay, too. ^__^
Have a very blessed and grace-filled night, my friends!
