Tina was so nervous and excited that she felt like her heart was about to sprout wings and fly right out of her chest. Bat wings, of course. Those were much cooler.
Just what did you wear for a Valentine's date? Her mother had been trying to push preppy sweaters and skirts in her daughter's direction but Tina wouldn't have any of it. She was dressing to impress Artie, not Rachel Berry. She settled on black skirt with matching leggings, paired with a red lace blouse beneath a black corset. She'd also raided her closet for her red converse she hadn't worn in months. She was waiting anxiously by the door and immediately opened it when Artie knocked.
"H-hey," she said shyly, closing the door behind her. On one arm she carried her coat and red gift bag obviously intended for Artie peeked out from beneath it. She smiled at him, bending to kiss his cheek. "You look handsome."
Artie tried not to fidget as he knocked on the door, but it was hard not to. He looked up as Tina answered it, and stared. "You look amazing" he breathed as he saw her. The corset and blouse look made his heart beat faster. "Um... Ready?" he asked, trying to focus on her and their date.
"Yeah, I know what you mean," he grinned at her. He'd pulled nearly every pair of suspenders he owned out if the closet to try and find the right pair.
He turned, rolling down the ramp (and taking childlike enjoyment out of it) and waiting for her at the bottom. "I'm looking forward to this."
Tina grinned as she watched Artie roll down the ramp. "You make a much cooler entrance than I do," she commented as she made her way down to join him. She nodded in agreement with him. "Me too...I've never actually had a date on Valentine's Day before....though I guess the whole not-having-a-valentine-thing might've had something to do with it, heh..."
Artie laughed in response. "Well, exit more than entrance, but I guess. Gotta have some fun with it," he grinned at her. "I'm in the same position," he said softly. "It's all new for me too."
"What, like we've figured everything else out so far?" Artie said, looking up at her and smiling. He couldn't help wishing that he could walk alongside her, and hold her hand, but wheeling beside her would have to do.
She nods. "Yeah. Exactly like that." Tina blushes a little, fixing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Speaking of figuring things out...can you believe we've actually been together for over a month? It's so weird....b-but a good kind of weird, you know?" "Oh gosh I'm babbling...."
He laughed slightly. "I know. At least we picked a memorable day, even if it was accidental," he said. "It is kinda weird, but yeah, it's good. Very good."
"Well, heh, at least it's easy to remember our anniversary...y'know, when it uh, rolls around or whatever..." She laughed nervously, looking down at the ground as they paced down the sidewalk. "Oh, um, wh-when do you want your gift, by the way? Before or after the movie?"
Tina nodded in enthusiastic agreement. "Oh totally - even though I'm hoping the movie's good, if it's not I hope we at least get some decent previews."
"It'll be fine, I'm sure," Artie said, grinning up at her. Well, if it wasn't, the evening wouldn't be a total bust, he was sure. They could find ways to fill their time.

She nodded again. "Definitely. After you?"
