For the first time ever, Artie got Valentine's Day. The fact that the girlfriend was Tina was the icing on the cake.
He hoped that his idea of cinema, then grabbing ice cream afterwards was a good one, Tina wasn't quite the take out for dinner kind of person. This seemed more them. He wanted to walk (metaphorically) to the cinema with her, and drop her off home afterwards - after all, his dad had impressed on him it was the kind of thing he should be doing.
He had a small present tucked in his pocket ready to give her, and he was dressed smartly... well, smartly for him. Gone was the sweater vest, hello red suspenders. Thankfully, Tina had left the ramp on the steps for him so he could actually knock on the door. Would have been embarrassing to have to ring her to tell her he was there.
