Among the popular kids, it was common knowledge that Glee club was the lowest of the low in McKinley's social hierarchy. Sue Sylvester had made it her mission in life to destroy the Glee club and Mr. Schuester for starting it. No one dared show support for Glee because of her; even those A/V club geeks made fun of Glee, which was just utterly pathetic ( ... )

For all the grief Santana gave Quinn, Quinn couldn't help but appreciate the girl and her friendship - Quinn wasn't really the most likable person, and nor was the Latino girl, which is more than likely why they bonded to begin with. Still, she'd asked Santana and Brittany to come for backup, and was actually a tad surprised that Santana arrived (especially because she was alone).

So Quinn couldn't help but sigh in relief when she saw Santana enter, shooting menacing glares to those that stared at her. The blond smirked at the girl as she bounded up the risers, turning to face her and crossing her legs. "Thanks for coming," Quinn said lowly, looking over her shoulder before she continued. "It's like they have no idea who we are."

Santana looked around the room. Quinn had a point. These Gleeks weren't bowing to their superiority, and it was very weird. Santana was used to these lesser-thans parting to let her through the crowded hallways and whimpering in fear when she so much as looked at them (with daggers in her eyes, of course). But the only acknowledgement from these Glee clubbers were disgruntled looks, like Santana and Quinn were unwanted.

"Oh, they'll find out," she replied quietly, eyes landing on one Rachel Berry. "We take down their little leader, and we will rule this geek herd."

Quinn noted Santana's unamused expression as she looked at their surroundings, nodding in recognition. It was odd for them to be under fire, because they were protected by the bubble of being popular - but they were out of their element, and Quinn was reminded of it the moment she walked in.

"She already gave me a lecture on how I should apologize to them," Quinn retorted, giving Santana a 'can you believe it?' look. "I'm pretty sure the Glee club doesn't even have leaders, but man hands seems to think she's it."

Santana gave Quinn a disbelieving look and snorted. In her opinion, Rachel had deserved every bit of torture inflicted on her. She needed to stop being so obnoxious and in everybody's face about everything and realize her place in this school. She would be better off flying under the radar.

"Of course she does. That's how she, like, functions. I bet none of these Gleeks want her thinking she's leader either."

Quinn was greatful for Santana's presence because Santana reminded her what was important - the Cheerios, and social hierarchy. Quinn had no chance of getting swept up in Glee crap, because she had Santana to remind her that it was stupid. And when she pitied Rachel - something she rarely did - Santana was the one to remind her why it was Rachel was tortured in the first place.

"It would be different if she were, you know, someone, but all she does is make videos of herself on Myspace and wear ugly sweaters. She has no authority."

Santana crossed her arms over her chest, surveying the full choir room again. She was surprised, really, that Glee had even gotten this many members. With Rachel there, she would've thought it would have been like a taboo. Even losers like that Hummel kid and the Asian girl with the stutter didn't want to be associated with Berry.

"I know, right? Damn. Is she going for the Catholic school girl look or something? What is with the knee high socks?"

A burst of giggles came from Quinn's lips and she covered her mouth, trying not to draw any more attention to her and Santana than actually necessary. She looked over her shoulder to see if the glares had gotten any worse - they hadn't really - before she leaned in to speak quietly to Santana.

"And, like, moccasins? Really? What planet does she live on?"

Santana smirked at Quinn's giggles. This was one of their favorite hobbies: Berry-bashing. Rachel just made it way too easy.

"Didn't Davy Crockett wear moccasins? And, like, a raccoon cap? Oh god, picture her in one of those!" She couldn't help bursting into giggles at that herself.

Quinn was now trying to hide the laughter that poured out of her, coughing to mask it as she turned fully to face the girl now, one leg crossed over the other completely.

"I would say to leave one in her locker, but knowing her, she'd find it and start wearing it," Quinn chortled, rolling her eyes at the girl's fashion sense.
