Captain Jack Harkness comes to Atlantis

Jan 25, 2013 21:55

A couple of folks commented on my last little SGA/Doctor Who crossover manip that they would like to see Jack Harkness. I'd made one a while ago and posted it to my Tumblr, but hadn't posted it here. I'm always worried about posting something that isn't pretty McSheppy or only features one of them, which is why I probably hadn't done it. (Of course ( Read more... )

I hope that you plan to post to your LJ, even if you won't over on tumblr :( I'm going to miss you.

I really like the premise you posted though, about Jack being fed on. The wraith would definitely come in force for him!

Yeah, I'll start posting in my journal more now. I'd gravitated over to Tumblr but...

I would think that the Wraith would love to experiment on Jack, because if they could do that to everyone they'd just need to have one person per Wraith and they could feed off of them for the length of the Wraith's life. It's a terrifying prospect and I worry about my brain for coming up with it in the first place.

I'm sorry you hate it so much :(

Oh, the wraith would definitely love to get their hands on Jack. Other than studies, I think he'd be saved for the Queen, but unlimited food? Definitely something the Wraith would be interesting in. I agree, it's completely terrifying - I'm just glad the two 'verses (Stargate and Torchwood) never canonically met, or I'd have nightmares. God.

Me too. The last of my queued items runs out about 3:30 this afternoon. (Although there's one thing queued to post on a specific day so I'm just gonna leave it and let it post.)

I need to finish watching Torchwood. I'm so behind on so many shows it's just ridiculous. But, yeah, the idea of the Wraith having access to someone like Jack is terrifying.

I actually crossover ship Jack and Weir

Jack can be shipped with everyone sort of. (I don't see it in a long-term commitment kind of way though. We've seen him do that a couple of times but it's rare.) He'd have far too much fun flirting in Atlantis. In my head I can see him as he hits on everyone and how they'd react to them.

Actually that'd make for a fun series of ficlets...

Jack as the universal Atlantis Bicycle?

He'd love that.

And I love Jack. And McShep. And this idea is disturbing and fun! Good manip and a great idea!

Thanks! I've been having far too much fun putting John and Rodney in the TARDIS for various little adventures, I figured it was high time someone other than the Daleks (my first "Whogate" manip) came to Atlantis. Who better than Jack Harkness? *g*

Jack seems to have that effect on most everyone, doesn't he?

Woot! Lovely crossover art! I love the idea of the Wraith viewing Jack that way. I think Carson would be interested in his immortality as well! And who is Jack going to be hitting on while he's on Atlantis? I'm sure he'd be happy to be the filling in a McShep sandwich!

Oh yeah, Carson would be poking Jack in all kinds of interesting sciencey ways! In my little head, the only people Jack wouldn't be hitting on in the city would be Bates and Kavanagh. For some reason I have a scene in my head where Jack flirts with Radek and it's just adorable. Not that I'd be opposed to a McShep sandwich...

I also have a sneaking suspicion that even though he probably doesn't have the ATA gene, the city would more than happily light up for him.

I love your ideas! And yes, the city would light up for Jack - he'd flirt with her like crazy too *g*. And no, Jack wouldn't be into Bates or Kavanagh - he's got good taste and I don't think he'd go for mean people. But it's adorable to think of him flirting with Radek - and Radek's confusion! LOL!

So many of the secondary characters on Atlantis would be so much for Jack to flirt with - Cadman, Lorne, Kusangi, Teldy, Chuck...

And Barrowman is just so goofily charming himself that he's hard to resist when he's NOT being Jack.
