I wonder if it can be promoted on generic Stargate sites - as general support for the show/franchise/fandom? Stargate vs Supernatural!

That's a great idea! It seems to me like if someone wasn't into it, then they'd pretty much left it be, ssoI think that's an awesome idea. What general boards could we put it on?

I started a thread about it over at the Gateworld forum. It's getting looked at a bit, but few comments. I added the Hewlett tweets to bump it back up.

I've put my goofy poster up over at AO3 along with a link to AfterElton to vote.

We're all over Tumblr, the folks here at LJ are informed. Is there a Facebook group? Anyone post over at SyFy boards?

I'm not a fan of approaching any of the actors for their support. I watched the SPN fans try to enlist Misha and it looked very silly. (And sort of sad.) A lot of the Stargate actors follow David so they saw the exchange and chose not to comment or they're off Twitter for a while and wouldn't get our messages anyway.

Just my two cents.

Hmm. Well, my sister just sent a tweet to Gateworld (which apparently also has a Twitter and 10K followers). Maybe general Stargate slash boards? And yay! That's excellent that we are back to rising! Feeling much happier now. ;) These are all great ideas! I don't post at Syfy boards, but hey, it is also ostensibly Syfy against CW, so that makes some sense. ;) Oh yeah, SG does have a Facebook. We could post there. Is your post in the McKay/Sheppard thread at Gateworld?

My post is in the SGA Characters and Relationships area. I started a new thread instead of going into an existing one. I debated about both, but I tend to lean on the side of not wanting to look like I'm a pest when I'm really just trying to get the word out about something.

Gateworld itself isn't slash friendly. I doubt whether they'd retweet something but it's worth a try.

I just suggested the SyFy forums simply because there might be a large contingent of Atlantians there. I'm not encouraging any 'us vs. them' attitude because a lot of SPN fans started out in SGA fandom so in a sense they are us. *g*

Well, we'll see! I'm not entirely sure how Gateworld forums work, maybe because I got into SGA right when it was ending, so I figured maybe the shipping threads were just places for any McShep related discussion.

There is a lot of crossover between our fandoms. I watch SPN too, but for me, McShep is my first. Now if it had been TOS Kirk/Spock against McShep, that would've been harder. ;)

I watched the first season of SPN recently and it didn't click with me, which is fine. I'm glad I watched it and know at least some of what the fandom is talking about!

I posted a comment in the General Discussion thread over at the SyFy SGA forum. I didn't want to post my first thing as a new thread because it always looks like someone is trolling when that happens. We'll see if anything comes of it.

I can't vote for another 15 minutes, but the last count I have is 38.56%.

SPN reminds me of the X-Files, which I have been a huge fan of since I was a little kid. A lot of people from X-Files (like Kim Manners) either work on it or worked on it. :) John in your icon: so adorable. And great job at Syfy!

As of right now, our count is 39.1%! Go us! :D
