bleated 'what's going on in my life' post
Okay, so this is the 'Where I've disappeared to' post.
I'm sure everyone knows but I flitted off to the UK in January for my Working/Holiday.
I spent the first month freezing my butt off in the company of 46 other Aussies and 5 miscellaneous on a Contiki Tour around Europe - actually it wasn't that cold and it was heaps and heaps of fun! I saw and did so much in that month!
Late February, March and early April found me working down in Cornwall, where the people call you 'my loverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr', the standard greeting is a very cherry 'Hiya!' followed by 'Alright?' and really really love their pasties. I also found that X-ray departments are very similar world over.
April I headed off on my next adventure - Gallipoli for ANZAC day followed by a tour around Turkey with a FANTASTIC bunch of people, it was an absolute blast.
May was the end of my Turkey tour and the start of my Greek one, I did some solo traveling around Greece. Just a word - it is much much easier to travel in countries that at least WRITE in english even if they don't speak it.... It really was an adventure for that week - bus drivers who don't speak english and toss you off the bus on the side of the road. I survived ;) Then it was on to my Greek Island Hopping - a brilliant time - Mykonos, Sanotorini and Ios are lovely, lovely places to visit.
June has me about to start work down in Sussex for a private hospital, 39 beds- it will be interesting I think.
And what has everyone else been up to???
