I are alive, I are!

Got off my butt to post just to prove that I am indeed alive. Any other reason? No, not really. I can't believe it's been so long since the last one, but, hey, I haven't really had much going on, so why spam people's LJs with random drivel ( Read more... )

Yeah, job hunting is one of the worst things. Ever. It doesn't matter what degree you have or what you're looking for; finding something you like that pays well is difficult. I have an art degree (a general one, at that) and want a job as an illustrator or something similar, and it is becoming something supremely difficult to acquire. I don't have the greatest skills on the planet, but somebody somewhere must like my style enough to want me to do at least a pamphlet, right? Right? *cricket chirps* Bother.

LOL, yeah, I wish I would've dated in college when I at least had guys that I hung out with on a regular basis, but I never wanted any relationships to be ruined so never went for it. But congratulations to you! Wow, seven years! That's fantastic! I mean, that's longer than some marriages last! I know I'll find someone someday, but at times it seems like I am that old cat lady. I've started stocking up on the food, but thankfully there's only two cats so far. :P

Aw, thanks! I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the anime/manga style, and I would be lying if I did. I mean, yeah, I can see the appeal in that all the characters are cute, but it irks me that you actually have to watch a show to figure out if the character you're looking at is a male or female. Everyone looks fairly generically androgynous with the pretty faces and flowing hair. Seriously, when I first caught Inuyasha on Adult Swim, I thought Sesshoumaru was a girl until he spoke, but I think that's a fairly common mistake.

And isn't your story "In the End"? If so, yes, I read it a while back, but didn't you stop writing new chapters in order to revise? She had just read his diary, didn't she? If that's the one, yes, and I liked it! I started reading it after (I think) I had drawn "Things Not Said", but thinking back, I can see how that scene could have been like the one I drew! The scenario in my mind as I drew it wasn't quite as serious as yours turned out to be, but it was still dramatic none-the-less. :D

*hands you a warm, thick slice of banana bread* Would you like some milk or maybe coffee with that? ;)
