I'm posting now, for the second time this year (GASP!). This time is not upsetting, just an update and a possible favour request. I'm going to be working on going back to University for an M.A. or possibly beyond in psychology. I had a few classes in child and developmental psycholgy, but not much on regular psychology. Is there anyone out there

Ahtenawindsong makes excellent points. =) However do not despair. I have a list of places to get textbooks cheap and one that even compares the prices so you can shop wisely. I have noticed that excepting a few "standbys" the texts change out every 2-3 years (depending upon discipline) and it can depend upon the instructor too. I have had instructors who will say we're using this text in "x" edition - however the previous 2 (or 3) editions work just as well I'll provide the supplemental info if you get those texts. This is rare but it happens. My opinion / experience is that unless there is a seminal overhaul, or decisive new work in the field many professors these days are doing their best to keep book costs down for the students.
