In trying to get a bit of control over the chaos that has become my life this last nine months or more, I signed up for classes today... although I still have to go and take a stupid math placement test. I am taking EEOB 400, or evolutionary biology. And, I hope to be taking Math 148. That's precalculus. I've already taken pre-calc, but that was 18 years ago and I'm just not thinking I even want to go straight to Math 150 (calc) should I happen to test into it. It's been so long since I've had any math of that sort that i think a bit of easing in would do me good. My goal is to take 148 in autumn, 150 in winter, 151 in spring and 152 this summer, thereby completing my mathematics requirements for just about any major... except, of course, math. Why in the hell would I want to major in that???
Then I can concentrate on knocking out the sciences that I need. I've already finished the bio classes, so that's good. I have some chem done but not all of it... and I still have to take physics. I'm feeling as though having the math first will better position me for all of these classes.
And, well, then I will have to take o-chem and biochem, and then... well, then, I'm pretty much set up to take whatever the hell I please because I will have finished the pre-requirements for just about any science degree.
Yup. I got a plan going on here.
Now, just have to schedule that damn math test. ARGH.
