Hey i saw your post on xdtalk.com .. I too am in Painesville. My girlfriend and i moved here about a 1 year ago from Claridon.. I just picked up my new xd 40 sub compact looking at picking up a xd9 not sure which one yet. I love the 40. Passed my CCW on Saturday finally had enough cash/time to get it.
I think i am going to checkout Attwells Range 2 morro. after reading all of the freekin IDIOTS at the public ranges iam a lil more aware. still going to check out a few more i now B&T in mentor has a range might check that one out to. iam used to just going in the back yard but i cant do that in Painesville. I miss the Country lifestyle sometimes.

I see your using AVG.. in my opinion it is JUNK. Norton and Mccafee are junk to.. check out this one very good virus scan also has online scan capabilties plus best of all it's freeee..

In my research of my virus/false positive problem I saw a lot of positive comments about Avast. I have been running AVG for a couple years. Norton was completely dogging my old Celeron Laptop so I ended up giving AVG a go. At the time I think it was one of the better free anti-virus programs. It appears it's going down the same road Norton did. If AVG gives me any more problems I will very likely take a good look at running Avast.

As for shooting. Might I suggest possible coming out and shooting one Crooked Creek Conservation Club USPSA matches. We put a four stage match on the forth Sunday of each month. This coming weekend is our match. All you need is your handgun, 3 or 4 magazines (more is better, if your shooting your XD I would be happy to loan you a few), a belt holster that covers the trigger guard and some magazine pouches. A typical match will run you about 90-120rds of ammunition.

The clubs website is as follows: http://www.crooked-creek.org/ There are direction to the club on the site.

The USPSA club that is part of Crooked Creek has a website: http://practicalpistol.net/ The match schedule, result and stage description for past matches.
