It's good to be an engineer/resourceful.

So I got a hair cut this morning and being that it is nearly spring I decided to get rid of the beard. The barber cuts my hair and trims my side burns. I get home to use my beard trimmer to shave the rest of the beard off and low and behold my trimmer is total dead. Somehow I left it turned on, while it was charging and the battery was totally dead (I jsut hope it will take a charge now that its off).

Well I could go to work looking like I had a mild case of mange or... I remember I had an old trimmer that quit holding a charge in the bottom draw of the vanity. I dug it out, popped the case open, extracted the defective NiCd sub-C battery that was in it and put in a normal AA alkaline battery. I had to hold the battery and wires in place with my fingers but it ran well enough to get my beard shaved off and I arrived at work clean shaven and well groomed.
