Hmmm... I have started several entries since the last one and scraped them all. I have got this itch to write but nothing to write about (except tedious technical stuff for work). Thought I had something a few minutes ago while reading William Gibson latest book and got out of bed to write it but it's gone. I think what I really have is the

I've been using AVG anti-virus for years now. It's free, and has protected my systems, along with friends and families PC's for quite a while now.

Have fun getting Norton off your system....I find it to be one of the most challenging things to get off a box.

At this point the laptop has been running for about 4 years maybe a bit longer without a re-install. I was planning on backing up every thing important to my external hard drive and CD and do a clean reinstall using the Toshiba system restore disks. Over those four years a lot of stuff has been installed and unistalled and the system is a mess. It is due for a compete reinstall and as part of that, new virus protection.

Thanks for the suggestion I will give AVG anti-virus a good look.

I use ESET NOD32 for my Antivirus. I like it a lot.
