Firstly, I'm really enjoying my holiday in Sydney. I mean, who couldn't ask for better weather??? It's been around 25 degrees and just perfectly warm. The nights are pleasant and I love not being worried about keeping warm.
I've spent a lot of time just catching up with various friends, seeing my 6 month old niece and the highlight was the NYE fireworks with some pretty amazing people. It always amazes me that when I started this LJ, I never imagined that I'd meet such a great bunch of people on the net and form friendships beyond fandom. I do feel rather sad about leaving Sydney at the end of this week... for one thing I don't relish the cold I'll be facing when I get back home! I started this LJ because of Stargate Altantis but I've met so many people through it and it's enable me to meet up with some of them all over the world!!! Even in Japan. And through these friends I've met other non-fandom people and found other similar interests!
The other joy of course is just seeing my 6 month old niece almost daily! Yesterday, I had her for nearly the whole day! Her parents wanted a day off so me and mum took her. She's a pretty good baby and pretty much doesn't cry and eats and poops easily!
I have since re-watched Sherlock thrice and I loved it! I can't wait till next week!!!
Firstly can I just say I have so much love for Mycroft? I love that he cares for Sherlock in his stiff upper lip manner. And Irene Adler... I loved her. Strong, sensous, smart and sexy! The ending was just perfect. But I liked that John and Mycroft talked about it. John and his blog just cracks me up - I'm going to check the BBC website to see if they included those stuff mentioned in the show. Oh yes, and Mrs Hudson! Dear old Mrs Hudson... Baker Street will not survive indeed!
I also liked Rupert Graves as Lestrade. Man, he's a dashing guy! The only DI that Sherlock pretty much tolerates. I missed John's ex doctor girlfriend - I liked her! They may not be in a sexual relationship but John and Sherlock are certainly partners in many ways.
Well, I'm unspoiled for future eps but 3 does seem very few...! Can't they do 6 at least???
In terms of other shows, I recently got into the Big Bang and am really into the gang! I also have been watching the Black Jack anime.... whose creator is the same guy who did Astro Boy (Osamu Tezuka). It's interesting medical "fantastical miracles and treatments" given when they were written.
