Pants beyond bankrupt. Last I was caught up it was sometime in May. Plan to catch up. Been busy working on the Chickens basement and keeping the cops from fining me for my poor mowing skills at Mariposa. The basement work was my "project" for this deployment. I guess it's officially getting cold. Spouse has the day off of work, and has escorted yet another uninvited guest a few miles away. Today when I got home from the FCB concert, since we had a happy, bouncy, trapped (in the large trap) guest (hopefully the one who upended the small trap and emptied it of birdseed), I headed off to give him a new life as snakefood while the spouse fed the neighbor kids candy.

Found it as I was heading to bed. In the large trap. In the light of my flashlight I saw that it was a luxurious brown, as sleek as an otter, with huge black eyes like those of a baby seal. Last night I got home with barely the minutes required to nuke something somewhat resembling food and get to the computer before the call I'd signed up for arrived. While I was on the call, the spouse got home ... and discovered another mouse. This one clearly different from the previous one -- much larger, and more "poingy". We were both away over the weekend -- I at a convention, relaxing, having fun, socializing, and eating, and the spouse participating in The 21st Annual Bataan Memorial Death March which took place on Sunday in White Sands, NM.
