Changed my layout again. I really like how simple this one is. I especially love the fact that there are links that separate my friends posts from my subscribed community posts. Annnnnnd, you can't go wrong with a LOST theme. Check it out: http://mbtwentygirl.livejournal.com/

There are 31 work days left for me. They couldn't go faster. I started my ISSC (In School Suspension) duty. Daily, the ISSC guy needs to be relieved twice for 15 minutes (breaks) and once for 30 minutes (lunch). Normally, it's not so bad. Or, at least, it hasn't been the last 3 school years. This year though...Lord help me. They are ushering kids that are out in the halls in there, so when I AM there, the phone rings constantly, kids are being turds, and it's all I can do to make it through my time. It can totally change my attitude in an instant. It sucks. And since my co-worker retired in December (my partner for this duty), one of the asst. principals had me make up a calendar with the names of those people who have already done their duty so they can help me. Needless to say, it's a duty NO ONE enjoys, so they aren't very happy. But, it's not MY fault.

One of my mom's ex-students passed away this week. It's really sad - Monica was my mom's head photographer back in 1987. Mom now teaches her oldest daughter, so it's been an incredibly emotional week for mom since she's been trying to be there for Stephanie (the oldest). My mom is such an incredible person and I am so very lucky to have her. It's been eye-opening this week, watching all of this unfold and realizing that Monica and Stephanie had a mother/daughter relationship that mirrors my own with my mom. When my mom does pass away, I will be devastated. You thought I was upset and stuff when my Dad was really ill? Multiply that by infinity...I just hope mom can stay here for many more years to come.

I now officially own $123.67 of my ipod. I made my first credit card payment last night. Two more to go before the interest kicks in. I'll have it paid off though. The next 2 payments will only be $100, which is really nothing in the grand scheme of paying other bills.

I need to call my Dad today to see how he's been doing. I also need to talk with Steph (my best friend) about my trip to Virginia next month. Rob will be playing within 5 minutes of her place, so I definitely want to do that with her. It'll be fun - she hasn't seen Rob solo before and she was the person I saw mb20 with the very first time I saw them live. Also, she's the one that turned me on to mb20, so it just seems right. I was going to stay for a week, but I'm thinking I'll be there at least 10 days, possibly 14/15. We shall see how I can work the airfare. It's kinda expensive due to Memorial Day, but if I can fly out of a different airport in Houston, then I can get it for like 320, which is really good. Anyway, we're all very excited about my visit - and Brandon (her hubby) has even said he doesn't care how long I'm there: the longer, the better! Mark seemed a lil sad that I might be gone for 2 weeks...maybe he'll appreciate me more when I'm gone and he realizes exactly what I DO do for him.

Oh and send some vibes out that Rob plays Texas in June/July...NO MAY! I'd like to see him in my home state - there's absolutely no way I can take off anymore days this school year, especially with my ISSC duty. Anyway, thanks!!
