Parents visit
I got up fairly early (for a Saturday) this morning and went into town to do my shopping. (Walking as I don't have or need a car). Bought some bits and pieces and got home in the early afternoon of a delightfully sunny day.
Background info: My younger sister (Helen) and her husband (Frank) have been living with me for the last 18 months or so, while they look for a place to live. Since I have the space and really enjoy their company it's a win win situation.
Anyway she'd done some tidying up while I was out, as my parents were dropping in, and an old friend (Felicity) from the church we were at over 20 years ago was also due.
My parents arrived first and gifts were given (Birthdays hurrah), 4 new cushions (which matched the curtains) and a Paintshop Pro picture of me with my favorite things ;)
Helen had made a chocolate cake (at least in part a birthday one, I guess) which was so good we all had two pieces. And a good time was had be all.
Felicity left after an hour or so, and then I left with the parents, to stay for the weekend, (with my other sister and her family, in Horsham) so updating from there.
[Some while later]
Presents were opened before dinner, I got a DVD of "Primeval" (ITV TV series) and I'd given my sister a music box.
After dinner as the football DIDN'T run to extra time, we were abe to see the next Doctor Who episode, which was excellent.
