yoga (yet again)

Even though I stretch after every run, I've been feeling some tightness lately in my calves and quads. So I am trying, again, to make yoga a regular part of my exercise program. Both times I've tried yoga before I've loved it for a month or two and then abruptly gotten insanely, completely fed up with it (and I've tried different teachers, styles, and locations, so I don't think that's the answer). But each time I've gotten tired of it, I've felt a very distinct "I can't stand to be in this room for another second!" feeling. So today I went to an outdoor class, and it was awesome. It was standard hatha yoga, not too vigorous but with some really good stretches, and the instructor seems very nice and mellow (not that I've ever met a yoga teacher who wasn't). The classes are held on the docks overlooking the pond at the new Town Lake Park, and it was so nice hearing the fountain and feeling the breeze. And my legs feel much better now.

We'll see if I stick with it this time (and how soon the weather goes from lovely to torture).

running, yoga
