Kayak polo nationals are going to be in Austin this year!! That means zero traveling expenses, and, since they'll be in October, PLENTY of warm weather time to practice before they arrive. Aside from October being my most ridiculously busy work month, I have no valid reason not to participate. eek!
Goal: Attend at least one practice per week through March. Continue upper-body weight training and core work, which I had been doing consistently until last week (for some reason I just ... stopped).
After the 10K is over (and the weather is more reliably warm), attend at least six practices a month (so Sundays and most Wednesdays), and, at least once every other week, do drills on my own.
If I play in this thing, I do NOT want to be the reason my team loses!
I ate an entire sleeve of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies today. I have no excuse for that either.
