Turns out that walking seven miles on "cross-training day" does unpleasant things to the next day's run. I always feel like hell for the first mile or so of a run, but today it just never got better. It didn't help that the rain caused me to overdress (even at 45 and rainy, pants were uncomfortably warm), but ... bleh. Worn out. I'm debating ( Read more... )

What is your training schedule?

I've finally learned to not overdress and just deal with the cold/rain. I'm finding that I like it better than being overheated or even really running in the heat.

That's a cool link! It told me for Saturday I should have worn long sleeves, a vest, and shorts. The vest would have been overkill, but I think I would have been fine with the long sleeves if I'd worn shorts. The problem was that at that temperature I expected the rain to make it damp and chillier, but it actually made it kind of muggy and warmer. Weird ( ... )

Ahh you could have fit into the next group instead of beginners!

Now what does R and W mean? Like R2W1? Are they still making you take walk breaks?
