so my friends, i have a confession to make. i am pretty much a suckah for any story and/or film having to do with vampires or witches. (example: renting that movie with david bowie and susan surandon that started off awesome then morped into soft porn and COMPLETELY strayed from the vampire plot). i was also obsessed with writer l.j. smith ( Read more... )

got your voicemail -- sorry was in yellowstone where reception, quite understandably, is crap. BUT it makes me realize just how much i suck for not having called you back since that one (perhaps sliiiightly inebriated) phone call from under the arch in st. louis. I would have called you back tonight, but it is very late on the east coast and i don't want to wake you. but a phone call sometime in the near future is promised ( ... )

hahaha it's really hard to catch a hold of me lately anyway. i only have cell phone reception 20 minutes on my way to and from work. and i am not even in yellowstone.

every other week, i only work until 2 pm on wednesday. so maybe i could leave one of those afternoons and fly back saturday evening. i don't know. also, i have never been to the west coast (though i have been to idaho- it's nice)- so you would have to suggest a place?

err i don't know kacie's actual address now but her email address is kms2kf@virginia.edu.

ANYWHERE. Everything is going to be beautiful and awesome, from Vancouver alllll the way down the coast. Then as we curve back east and come along the south-- 4 corners area, Texas, N'awlins, etc. Just pick a place you want to see and let me know and I'll tell you when I think we'll be there.

p.s. didn't you also used to love Anne Rice? And what on earth is the movie with David Bowie to which you are referring?

i attempted to love anne rice. but her novels weren't nearly as soap-operish as l.j. smith's.

i had to look it up on imdb.com because i have been forgetting just about everything lately. it's called "the hunger"- tagline: "nothing human loves forever"/ summary: "The Egyptian vampire lady Miriam subsists upon the blood of her lovers. In return the guys or girls don't age... until Miriam has enough of them. Unfortunately that's currently the case with John, so his life expectancy is below 24 hours. Desperately he seeks help from the famous Dr. Sarah Roberts. She doesn't really belive his story, but becomes curious and contacts Miriam ... and gets caught in her ban, too." i think there was a typo- substitute "bed" for "ban" and you have the plot.
