because i am a dork.
so my friends, i have a confession to make. i am pretty much a suckah for any story and/or film having to do with vampires or witches. (example: renting that movie with david bowie and susan surandon that started off awesome then morped into soft porn and COMPLETELY strayed from the vampire plot). i was also obsessed with writer l.j. smith throughout middle school, who wrote all sorts of series involving teenage witches, vampires, and shapeshifters. with that said, you may have surmised what film i saw this weekend. yes, that is correct. the covenant.
and i dragged kacie along to see it. mwhahaha.
in all honesty, we did not plan on going to see it. but the bowling alley was crazy and crowded and being the antisocial lovely beings we are, we opted for anonymity in a dark theater.
it was awful.
but not as bad as cabin fever.
into the wee hours of the morning, kacie and i sought redeeming features of the film. we came up with: the darklings were creepy enough to give the 8 year old boy sitting behind us nightmares, the main guy's looks (unfortunately not his acting), it possibly had the WORST (BEST?!?!) line in cinema history: "you can be my wiatch" (angrily stated)- followed by some fighting and awkward silence- causing much laughter on our end, annnnd we made up an alternate ending which in itself may redeem the movie (not really).
today is joella's wedding. woohoo. and weird!
tomorrow is my first day alone with my kids. and it is 15 hours long! hurrah!
I AM OFF THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. we could hang out.
