Before I say anything else, I did NOT do this. This is Andrew's own handy work. LOL
He was undoing a piece of gyprock and when the bolt came out, the gyprock flicked out and bit him in the eye. We spent 3 hours at Ryde Hospitals Emergency ward because it looked like there was blood coming from his eyeball.
Turns out his eyelid was bleeding and it had gone onto his eyeball and spread making it look really bad.
Anyhoo, he got some drops and will be back at work tomorrow.
Dad offered to punch his other eye so he was even but Andrew declined the offer. Can't think why. LOL
When we were in there 2 other construction accident patients came in. One had a really thick bandage wrapped around his hand and there was blood dried all over the exposed bit of his hand. We didn't ask but Andrew thinks it was a circular saw accident. They're common apparently.
The other guy had a huge welt on his head with two big holes in it. I only overheard part of his convo (what? it's boring in the emergency ward) but I believe he had hit something with his hammer and it had ricocheted back. I can only assume the two holes were from the nail pulling claw thing. Youch!
I think I might go and buy a lottery ticket. C'mon good luck, you be the one to bite us in the arse for once!
