I got a job guys...
...I'll be working at Purple Papyrus. Well..that wasn't the original name of it. It was the old "Shintomegumi Book Store" that was run by Mr. Yamatashita, who has since retired and another young man - Mahaado-san - was requested by his family to take over the business, lest they have to deal with a real estate person to deal with the property.
He seems very nice and cute. He's got a pet cat around the store named Zalika. She's a little attention getter, hee hee. But he's got the place up and running and looking pretty good.
It's not that I'm not used to running a place by myself - although I've got to say, the closest I had to that was being a shift manager when I worked at this one restaurant and only had 2 other employees with me one time because everyone else was out due to the flu one year - but this should be interesting running the small cafe he's working on getting operational and the bookstore. It looks pretty much in the same layout as it was before, so I don't think I'll have any problems finding things for customers.
One thing I'm curious about are these "Fun Hat Days" he was telling me about. Apparently, there's a reading day for children one day of the week and so on those days we somewhat have to dress in a type of costume and whatnot that goes along I suppose with the theme of whatever the book is that we'll be reading to the children. That should be interesting. Otherwise, there's really not a dress code there, which works just fine with me.
