Starting out by uploading some old translations I posted on Tumblr and tweaking the translations a bit. Here's an old one from last year.
NEW SINGLE “Endless Game” CROSSTALK
This might be Arashi’s hardest song to sing at karaoke yet!
- Please tell us about your new single, “Endless Game”, being released 5/29. We are already familiar with it as the theme song for the drama “Kazoku Game” starring Sho-san, but the division of parts for this song ended up being quite complicated it seems.
Sakurai: This time, I think trying to guess who sings where was super tough! It’s because it’s a busy song where you have this feeling of constantly leaving and entering.
Ninomiya: Yeah it was hard~! I didn’t know where I was singing. That’s why it was easier when we were recording, because we could just sing all of it straight through (without caring about separating the parts).
Aiba: The PV was amazing too, because the people singing changed so fast. But if you watch the PV you’ll understand.
Sakurai: Yes and to go along with that answer, the CD with the PV included goes on sale on the 29th!
Everyone: (laughs).
- So, the filming of the PV has a lot of solo shots?
Sakurai: No, more like we were grouped in pairs or in threes. Ohno/Aiba were in the classroom, Ninomiya/Matsumoto were…that place, was is it a club?
Ninomiya: (turning up his idol charm) Ahh, it was a dancehall☆
Matsumoto: Filming at that location sure was rough…is what I would say except it was actually done with CG (laughs). That part of the video has an interesting setting to it. It’s got a bit of a warped feeling you could say, a darkness, a shadowy feel to it.
- In your last single, “Breathless” for example, there was Ohno-san who revealed his displeasure by saying that “Even though I wanted to sing the word ‘DNA’ that part never got around to me” so…
Everyone: (laughs).
Sakurai: Such a baby~ (laugh).
Ninomiya: It was the song for “Platinum Data” so he wanted to sing ‘DNA’.
- Saying that, are there any words or anything that struck you personally about the lyrics this time?
Ohno: Nah, this time it wasn’t so much where one part was, and anyhow the song was split up all over the place. It’s been the most difficult song up until now, hasn’t it?
Matsumoto: Yeah, if you’re going to karaoke, there’s no way you could sing this alone, could you?
Ninomiya: Yup, even splitting it up between 5 people was hard.
Sakurai: It’s probably better to go to karaoke with a lot of people. Maybe you’d need 10 people?
Aiba: There aren’t enough mics! (laughs)
Ohno: Because there are usually only 2.
Matsumoto: Then give up on the mics and just sing it as a chorus (laughs)
- What do you think your performance on music programs will be like?
Ninomiya: The choreography will be getting started now.
Sakurai: Recently Arashi has had many songs with complicated compositions, but I think this one seems like it will have a different nature.
Matsumoto: Please look forward to it.
- Yes. So with that…
Sakurai: Are we dismissed for today?
Aiba: …shall we finish?
Ohno: Right, dismissed !!
Everyone: (standing up simultaneously) Thank you very much! (laughs)
