out with a bang and a thud.
So last night was awesome, end of story.
After much fighting and annoyingness with the parents I did make it up to the Plateau for the new year's extravaganza. And it was pure insanity which is always a good thing. Anyway I got to Gloria's house around 4:30 and she made me tea and pasta, I knew I loved that girl, and then at about 5ish or something Emily came and eventually we headed out the door. Not without a quick stop at Walmart to buy ornaments for the ornament shower (which we forgot about oops) but it was CLOSED! Dude Walmart should never close...dumb Walmart.
So we then headed to wawa and figured out it was divinely inspired and ran around in there for a while and got coffee and tea and other various items. Including little bags of coffee that we were going to trey to make into ornaments, but we wisely decided against it :o)
By 9:00 we had finally gotten there. And at this time mostly everyone had already gotten there so we just joined in their game and it was fun. So we just hung out and talked and such (I did however get tricked into playing mao..grr) and we did some worship singing and it was really fun. Then at midnight they had fashioned a makeshift ball to be dropped. It was a wonder ball that was hung from the ceiling and it was dropped and the new year was celebrated.
I was in bed at 4:00 only to wake up at 9:00 so we could leave early to be home for family-type-functions. But I'm really glad I got to go and see everyone cause I really missed those crazy people :o)
